The Blackline F215 is a trapezoidal, passive two-way unit with dual
380mm/75mm low frequency voice coil driver. Even though both drivers have the same low frequency characteristics and work together up to 250Hz, they are designed to have different characteristics in the mid bands. Above 250Hz, only the top driver - a specially designed low distortion device - is used up to the crossover point of 1.3Hz. This technique prevents uneven response that would occur if both drivers were operating together over the same midband, and maintains clarity and articulation at maximum output levels. High frequencies are reproduced by a 35mm exit titanium compressed diaphragm driver loaded by a proprietary 80 x 50 constant directivity rotating acoustic horn. The trapezoidal unit consists of a birch multilaminate veneer fitted with a rigid perforated steel grate. Two large doors allow the low frequency output without compression at high input levels. Handles are attached to the top and bottom, along four rear-mounted 100mm castors for ease of transport. Twelve M10 loose anchors are available for installing the suspended cabinets. The F215 can be used with or without the M3 controller which allows you to boost the low frequency performance of your system and provide high quality limiters to prevent the F215 from being overdriven. In addition, the M3 can be used to provide crossover, EQ and limiter functions for the F215 with the Blackline S218 Sub-Bass System in situations requiring extremely low frequency outputs. along four rear-mounted 100mm swivel castors for ease of transport.
